“Under no circumstances should you lose hope. Hopelessness is the real cause of
failure. Remember, you can overcome any problem. Be calm, even when the external
environment is confused or complicated; it will have little effect if your mind is at
peace. On the other hand, if your mind gives way to anger, then even when the world
is peaceful and comfortable, peace of mind will elude you.”

Hello Crossfit World,
ReplyI am Mario a Saturday staple @9am, who is out with an injury. I just wanted to THANK DJ and others for mentoring a high school student with Ivy League aspirations and a focus to be a Doctor named Alex Gale. Last Year Alex was 5’7 and a sloppy 245lbs, but now he is still 5’7 but a mere 175-180 ATHLETE (he wears skin tight Under Armor now). In fact he made the Varsity soccer team this year and today is his first game. That is an amazing feat-Thanks Core Family- The kid has went from a little pudgy kid with great grades (4.5 GPA) to humble young man with a dash of SWAGGER and still has great grades. He wants to be leading a group of kids next week in Good Fight Gone Bad-Simply amazing-Thanks again Mario
Way to go and good luck Alex!
ReplyAwesome story Mario and not surprising considering the amazing staff at Core!
For anyone that’s ever been curious to see me belly dance (or never knew but now is!), my dance troupe and I will be performing at a fundraising event at a tattoo parlor on the West side of town this Saturday. We go onstage at 4 and details are at the facebook link below:
