I love reading books about people who survive incredible circumstances and come out better. When I have those points in my life when I start to feel sorry for myself or I string together too many non-productive days, videos like the one above puts things in perspective. Videos like this also make me feel that I’ve been soft and haven’t worked as hard as I should/could be. Time to for some new goals.
New Years is rolling around and it’s traditionally been a time for people to make a few goals to make their lives a little richer. What have you been thinking about doing but haven’t taken the necessary steps? Is it quitting the job you loathe waking up to every morning? Is it asking that person out whom you’ve had a crush on for months? Is it ending relationships that don’t bring either party happiness and fulfillment? Is it not being a push over or standing up for yourself? How much longer are you going to wait?
I would like to challenge all of you to start creating few goals for this new year. Make it a goal that’ll have a positive impact on your life. Hopefully it’s a goal that’ll get you out of your comfort zone. The funnest mountains to climb in life are the ones that require a good amount of struggle. You’ll come out mentally, physically and emotionally tougher. Always remember you’re where you’re at in your life because of choices you make. If you’re not happy, make changes. Don’t wait for things to happen, take control and make it happen!
