Beginning Tuesday, March 16 we will provide a “Stretch to Recover” class for our members. We will host two Saturday morning classes at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We will also offer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Stretch to Recover classes will be available for all members for an additional $60 per month. Members who take advantage of this offer and make it to stretch class three times per week will pay approximately $5 per class! Those interested in signing up for the Stretch to Recover program or scheduling a one-on-one session may contact any of our staff members to add this new class to your membership.
Stretch to Recover is a general stretching routine that specifically addresses the muscles utilized in the Workout of the Day (WOD). The program is designed to help increase range of motion in order to improve the function of our bodies in daily activities as well as when performing the WOD.
Injuries can be caused by limited range of motion from the joint or muscle. Simple moves such as tying your shoes, picking up an object from the floor or even reaching behind you in the car can cause injuires just like an athletic move, an exercise or even lifting a weight to set-up for an workout.
Our goal is to assist you in reducing the likelihood of any annoying tweaks or injuries so that you may spend more time doing the things you enjoy. We want to keep you healthy and safe both in and outside of the gym!
Preston Young will be joining the CoreCrossFit team to teach the Stretch and Recover classes. Preston is a Stretching and Body Alignment Specialist who is also State certified in Personal Training and Nutrition. Please give Preston a warm welcome and be sure to try one of the new classes. We have conducted multiple trial runs and have received rave reviews! In the meantime, keep those glutes tight!
