Have fun with this today, miss you guys!
ReplyI thought I was having a great day, until I came back from my second mile and noticed the other guys still working. I quickly realized I must have done something wrong (I’m not that good!). I recalculated my (jumping) pull ups and found I only did 75. But on the way home I thought there was still no way I did Murph that fast. So naturally I have been second guessing myself since and wonder if I miscounted my pull ups, did I miscount anything else? This is where a sheet of paper and pen come in handy to keep track on large reps like this. I think its only fair (to myself and the group) if I redo this tomorrow, and see how I do. So Tom, if you read this before you post times, can you smack me with a big NT please? Thanks, and sorry guys and gals.
ReplyHere’s a little bit about Murph that I found.
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ From here on it will be referred to as ‘Murph’ in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
Tribute to Lt. Michael Murphy

Wow, touching video, thanks for posting. Killer workout today, everyone did awesome!
ReplyNathan, Amy and I did the workout yesterday at the park, subbing dips on a bench for the pull-ups. We all did the half-Murph, and here are our times:
Nathan: 21:43
Elise: 21:43
Amy: 21:42
We did a half mile run, then 5 rounds of 10 dips, 20 push-ups, 30 squats, then the last run. Can’t wait to see how everyone else did!
