Felix Cambou – CrossFit Testimonial
During the last couple months of college I started CrossFit at 315 lbs. Over four the years I turned my perfect 200lb Texas football body into a lazy tub of lard. Being 6’5” I feel as though the weight just crept up on me. My diet was completely irresponsible and I couldn’t find the effort to push myself in the weight room. I would enter the gym with high expectations but then give up after one set. I had an issue with motivation.
Finally my mom had enough and sent my bubble butt to CrossFit. I was set up with the nicest personal trainer Tom. Everyone working there is incredibly positive. Together we were able to change my diet, lifestyle and routine. All of a sudden the pounds started to fall off, my energy levels were through the roof and my grades started to improve drastically. I was feeling happier all the time again and people just wanted to be around me. Over the course of a couple months I started loosing 5 lbs a week. At the end of our time I had lost 40lbs and continued my lifestyle change on my own and I should be back to normal in no time. I did hit a couple of plateaus, as to be expected, but Top helped me overcome them.
The only difference that I have today compared to when I started college is that now I have the ability to prolong my healthy living with the knowledge I’ve picked up at CrossFit. Laziness is a curable disease and it’s not something any scale can show you. Ultimately that’s why I’m glad I went to CrossFit. The only problem with all of this is the big collection of XXL and XL clothes rotting in my closet. I’m thinking about getting a giant glorious bon-fire started while evilly laughing as I lower each article into the flames of hell. I don’t plan on ever seeing them again.
